Rumours in Theatre Land are that there is a new musical version of The Wind In The Willows on the horizon.
Stiles and Drewe (the musical talent behind Honk and Betty Blue Eyes) are teaming up with Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park and Downton Abbey) to rewrite Kenneth Grahame's much loved story.
The threesome, were the creative team behind the recent adaptation of Mary Poppins, which is still playing on Broadway.
George Stiles has said “Ever since working with Julian on Mary Poppins, the three of us have been looking for a new project. We all celebrate our English roots as writers, and the musical possibilities of Kenneth Grahame’s classic chime very strongly with me”.
