The Beatles tribute show Let It Be is set to return to London’s West End, following its sell-out UK tour.
The production wowed audiences at its premier back in 2012 and now makes a welcome return to theatreland, this time to the Garrick Theatre. The spectacular celebration of The Beatles story and music is due to open on the 9 July and run for a limited time until 21 September 2014.
Let it be explains how The Beatles rocketed to fame and stardom from their small beginnings in Liverpool's Cavern Club, ending at the dizzy heights of Beatlemania and their more experimental studio work. The show features over 40 Beatles hits including I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Day's Night, Let it Be, Day Tripper, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Strawberry Fields, When I'm 64, Twist and Shout and Get Back.
Let It Be originally opened in the West End at the Prince of Wales Theatre in September 2012 and then made the move to the Savoy Theatre in January 2013. The muti-media musical has recently played Broadway’s St. James Theatre across the pond.
Let it Be will take over at the Garrick Theatre from the current production of Twelve Angry Men that will continue to play until 14 June 2014.
