New cast for Phantom of the Opera in the West End

The West End’s most iconic musical, The Phantom of the Opera has announced the new cast members due to join Andrew Lloyd Webber’s celebrated production in the West End from 7 September 2015.
Celinde Shoenmaker will join as the singing sensation Christine Daaé, Michael Matus will play Monsieur Firmin, Nadim Naaman will take over the role of Raoul and Christopher Dickins will play Monsieur André. They will be joined on stage by returning Phantom, John Owen-Jones.
It was also announced that Ben Forster will take over as The Phantom from John Owen-Jones in February 2016. Forster rose to fame after winning the television talent show, Superstar and earning himself the role of Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s revival of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Celinde Schoenmaker will make the move to the cast of The Phantom of the Opera from her current staring role as Fantine in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre. The rising star of the West End made her stage debut in the Boublil and Schonberg musical back in 2013.
Nadim Naaman wowed audiences in The Sound of Music at the London Palladium and has since gone on to star in the acclaimed West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors and Sweeney Todd. He returns to the Phantom of the Opera after a three-year break.
The Phantom of the Opera is currently playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre, where you can catch the new cast from 7 September 2015.
