Wicked extends run at The Apollo Victoria

Wicked, one of the West End’s most popular and long-running musicals has announced that it is to extend booking at the Apollo Victoria Theatre until 5 November 2016.
Producers have released over 500,000 new tickets for the multi award-winning show that is close to becoming the ninth-longest running production in the West End.
The current cast of Wicked includes Savannah Stevenson as Glinda, the Good Witch, and Emma Hatton as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch. Joining the pair on stage from the 21 September 2015 will be Sean Kearns as Doctor Dillamond, Daniel Hope as Boq, Oliver Savile as Fiyero and Carina Gillespie as the alternative Glinda.
Adapted from the best-selling novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, music and lyrics come from the Academy Award-winning Stephen Schwartz, with book by Winnie Holzman.
Wicked follows the untold story of the Witches of Oz, taking inspiration from L.Frank Baum’s much-loved classic tale of The Wizard of Oz. Audiences are transported back to The Emerald city, attacked by flying monkeys and even treated to a glimpse of those iconic ruby slippers.
