The Creakers description
When you were little, were you convinced there were monsters living under your bed? McFly’s Tom Fletcher, songwriter and author, wrote the best-selling kids book, now it has been adapted for the stage. Welcome to the strange world of The Creakers - and prepare for an epic adventure.
The Creakers: A Magical Musical Adventure is a fresh new family stage musical based on the smash-hit book by international songwriter and author Tom Fletcher. Following a world premiere in Plymouth, it’s landing in London to delight people of every age.
The show has been described as epic, joyful and hilarious. You’ll adore the strange world it throws you into, where you’ll discover that it’s often those who are different that make the most difference. This musical is truly magical.
What happens when all the grow-ups vanish?
Lucy wakes up one morning to discover something very strange indeed. The grown-ups in her home town, Whiffington, have vanished. All the other kids are thrilled with the freedom: no boring adults, no school, no bedtime and no rules. It is total chaos. But Lucy, who lost her dad not long ago, is missing her mum and wants her back. And nothing is going to stop her.
Lucy and her friends Norman and Ella set off on an extraordinary adventure into the topsy-turvy, back-to-front and inside-out home of The Creakers, a whole new world underneath her bed. As it turns out, the creaking sounds she’s heard under there really ARE monsters. What fun!
