The Gruffalo description
The musical version of the hugely popular children's book has toured the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, an irresistibly charming production telling the brilliant story of Mouse's adventure in the deep, dark woods. She starts off her journey looking for nuts, with her nut map in her hand, but things soon get a lot more interesting. Mouse comes across all sorts of dangerous animals along the way, and she has to use her natural cunning to evade them. To keep herself safe she tells the animals who want to eat her tall tales about a monster that lives in the woods, her friend the Gruffalo, a terrifying mythical beast who is half bear and half buffalo.
Tall Stories' magical, musical stage adaptation of the book is on at the Lyric Theatre, a festive masterpiece full of wonderful music, laughter, physical theatre and just enough scary fun to thrill your kids without giving them nightmares. They'll adore seeing everyone's favourite furry monster on stage.
The musical plays at the Lyric until Sunday 8th January 2017 and it's set to be a monster hit. No surprise when the book has sold more than 13 million copies, won prizes for children's literature, and been a smash hit in the West End, on Broadway and at the Sydney Opera House.
PS. The Gruffalo joins The Snowman and Peppa Pig's Surprise in the West End this Christmas, more treats for the kids.
