Your Lie in April description

Your Lie in April is back in theatreland following an acclaimed, sold-out concert launch at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, a musical experience so extraordinary that critics and audiences have gone mad for it. A genuine thing of beauty, you won’t forget this one in a hurry.

The story has been perfectly adapted from Naoshi Arakawa’s original, incredibly successful manga, with glorious music by Frank Wildhorn (Bonnie and Clyde, Death Note, Jekyll and Hyde), lyrics by Carly Robyn Green and Tracy Miller, a Japanese book by Riko Sakaguchi, and English language book by Rinne B Groff.

The musical weaves the lovely story of Kōsei Arima, a young piano playing prodigy who finds he can’t play any more after his mother dies. His sweet friendship with the violinist Kaori Miyazono gradually inspired him to perform again.

An EU English language premiere the West End is thrilled to welcome

Phenomenal demand meets this production wherever it goes. It’s a critically acclaimed, record-breaking phenomenon whose producers gave us the brilliant Death Note. The same people are staging this European premiere in our capital, testament to the West End’s global reputation for theatre excellence. This is one of the most popular romantic stories of modern times and also one of the biggest tear-jerkers in manga history.

Frank Wildhorn ‘s music comes with a magic that melts even the hardest heart, boding well for a run that’ll probably sell put fast. We recommend you grab tickets as soon as they’re released.
